The Wedding Trifecta

In the last 6 weeks we have been to 3 exceptionally different weddings-

The first- a Westie affair.

Highlights:

Bride was ripped when she arrived.  High 5-ed the groom 3 times and on the third time, missed the hand and hit him in the face.  (half way through ceremony!!!)
The groomsmen nipped off for a bong in the car prior to wedding photos. (the car was in sight of wedding guests.....????)
At the venue, guests were cut off by bar staff prior to entering the reception......
Father of the bride was found asleep in the garden and when we were 'looking' for him at the end of the wedding, we spent nearly an hour 'looking'  at the much better wedding, upstairs!  Did I mention it was a same sex marriage and the band was BRILLIANT???

We were really 'looking' for him though..............???

The same sex married couple will still be checking out their photos, going 'who are those people...????'

The second-

Highlights:  Beautifully done at a private house.  Beautiful.  Thanks Melissa and Carlos.  Very enjoyable, but not funny :)

The third-

Highlights:  Gorgeous and formal.  Funniest thing early was the dog with its beautiful, matching ribbon that was held by the little flower girl who was attached to the cute little page boy.  The dog had clearly not listened during the practices and was absolutely not a fan of a lead!  Jumped on the dress,  paws up!  Licked the little kids faces, pulled, struggled- but, to its credit, did not bark.  The flowers did get slightly munted when the little girl used them to whack the dog off her dress!

Funniest thing later in the evening (because it really was a very elegant wedding) was the bride, in her absolutely beautiful dress and perfect hair and makeup, getting sick of the fancy, schmancy shoes, so she went and swapped them for a pair of well worn rodeo boots that you could only see if she let you in on the secret.......

She did not, however, let her mother in on the secret!!!!!!

Okay, now that I count back that may well be four weddings, but we were only invited to three and the lesbian wedding was actually pretty funny.  The whole event was pretty surreal.

Also at none of the other weddings did I get my bum pinched, so it deserves a mention!

The upside?  At the Gorgeous and formal wedding, I sat next to a older couple, who did not appear to be party people and they had been to 12 weddings in 15 months!!!!
