Tonight we had dinner at the Rott Restaurant as we are staying at the Rott Hotel, (kind of seems appropriate Gardens School??) and we had a young man serving us who was rather chatty in a second language kind of way.
Cathy asked him about Easter and if they have Easter Eggs to which he replied- rather confused I would hope...
"Yerrs we have Easter, but ve celebrate it on Sunday. Ve beat the weerrmin (which we took to be women) and den we have Schnappes and beer"
I asked if the women drink too and he said "the weerrmin can have 10 litres of vater" (seriously, who could hold that much water??)
We asked something about the weerrmin and if they take any revenge, but he said something about long handles and brooms and bright colours....????
Perhaps, I thought the weermin can then get you when you have a skin full of schnappes and beer and push you into the ice cold river? Or hit you with a strudel pan?? (if there is such a thing???)
But no, I think something has been lost in this discussion as the Weerrmin around here seem to be pretty unbeaten..???
I guess time will tell and we will have to make a point of listening out for howlings and beatings tomorrow :)
